Last week I had the pleasure of visiting Village farm, in Salcombe, South Devon.
A rugged country farm - from its windswept hilltop, to its steep hillsides that fall away precipitously toward the estuary below, it is incredibly picturesque.
I visited to collect their Shetland fleece from the sheep they farm.
The Shetland sheep are a hardy and thrifty sheep, with the fleece having an amazing variety of colours and patterns, and importantly, a good crimp!
All these things will make a superb yarn.
So, keep your eyes peeled for Organically farmed, Devon reared Shetland yarn!
